This is not a workshop. It is an invitation into a world where every thread tells a story. Spend four days living in the rhythm of Portuguese traditions, creativity, and genuine human connection.
We invite you on a 4-day immersion journey. This is not just a series of classes; it is a chance to become a student and a guest of an outstanding master – Rita Martins Pereira.
At the heart of this journey is Rita, a Portuguese textile and fashion designer. For Rita, weaving is not just a craft, but a language — a language she uses to speak to the world, weaving into her fabrics memories of Portugal’s sunny shores, the geometry of Lisbon’s streets, and the warmth of human encounters.
Rita is not just a teacher. She is a guardian of tradition and an innovator who skillfully combines age-old techniques with a contemporary vision and principles of sustainable design. She will open the doors of her studio (and possibly her home), sharing not only techniques, but also her philosophy, her artistic journey, and her love for Portugal. This is a unique opportunity to learn not from a textbook, but through live communication, shared creativity, and energetic exchange.

• Full immersion:
You will spend 4 days side by side with a master. This is not a two-hour class, but a deep dive into the creative process — from idea to finished piece.
• Exclusivity and personal attention:
Groups of up to 3 people ensure that Rita can give you maximum attention — to your goals, your pace, and your project.
• Community of kindred spirits:
You will find yourself among people who speak your language — the language of creativity, threads, and patterns. This is a space for exchanging ideas, inspiration, and building lasting connections.
• Authenticity:
You will touch real women’s traditions of Portugal by taking part in evening handcraft gatherings, where over a glass of wine and heartfelt conversation not only patterns are born, but friendships too.
• Flexibility and choice:
You decide where you want to stay — in a cozy room right in Rita’s home, fully immersing yourself in her world, or in the secluded atmosphere of a countryside villa or boutique hotel, where we will arrange on-site workshops for you.
