Portuguese Cooking Class Lisbon offers an immersive culinary journey into the heart of Portugal’s rich food traditions. Led by passionate local chefs, this hands-on experience introduces you to the flavors, techniques, and stories behind some of the country’s most iconic dishes. Portuguese hospitality starts from Lisbon Cooking Classes!
Upon arrival at the cozy, well-equipped kitchen, you’ll be welcomed with a brief introduction to Portuguese cuisine. Welcome drinks also will be provided. Are you ready? Start it!
The menu features three seasonal petiscos (small plates), ensuring the freshest and most flavorful results. For the main course, you’ll be served a dish of seafood, vegetarian, or chicken, which will be chosen based on the day of the week and the participants’ dietary needs. The meal concludes with a traditional Portuguese dessert. Along the way, you’ll learn essential cooking techniques, how to balance spices and textures, and the cultural significance of each dish.
The class is interactive and social, making it perfect for small groups, couples, corporate events, or team-building activities. You’ll work together, taste ingredients as you go, and share stories with fellow participants.
After cooking, everyone gathers around the table to enjoy the meal they’ve created, paired with local wine or juice. It’s a moment to relax, reflect, and appreciate the effort that goes into Portuguese home cooking.
Whether you’re in Lisbon for a few days or planning a group event, the Portuguese Cuisine Cooking Class is a memorable way to connect with local culture, meet new people, and leave with skills (and recipes) you can bring back home.

The experience starts in a cozy Lisbon kitchen, where you’ll be warmly welcomed with a drink (wine or juice) and an introduction to Portuguese culinary heritage.
The small, intimate group (2–12 people) ensures a relaxed, social atmosphere. Your chef will outline the dishes and ingredients, covering the cultural significance of classic Portuguese recipes and key spices like olive oil, garlic, and piri-piri. The class is completely hands-on: you’ll wear an apron, follow the chef’s demonstrations, and prep and cook your own meal.
After cooking, the group gathers to enjoy the prepared dishes in a sit-down meal, often paired with local wines.
